Margret Naliaka Namwerula
My names are Margret Naliaka Namwerula. I live in a farm known as Igakha. I am fifty-six years old. I started organic farming in 2017 and I have grown different types of vegetables for three years. Since the inception of organic farming, I have benefited from this program in one way or the other because vegetables grown organically have a long lifespan compared to vegetables grown without using organic methods; considering we plough the land deep enough and create beds, which retain water, thus vegetables continue to yield for a long time. The vegetables that I grow I use it as food for my family and generate little money through selling of the surplus to my neighbours and other farmers. Indeed, organic farming has helped me for a long period.
